  • Massage pad (for treating bloat)

  • Infant gas drops (simethicone)

  • 1% injectable Ivermectin (applied topically to the bald spots behind the ears for prevention and treatment of mites and lice)

  • Syringes (for feeding, medicine, etc.)

  • Critical Care or SARx recovery food (for piggies recovering from surgery or needing extra food/syringe feeding during illness) - can also mix with 100% pure canned pumpkin or veggie baby food

  • Child Life liquid vitamin C (for vitamin C deficiency/scurvy)

  • Benebac (good for soft poops and adds and replenishes good bacteria lost during a course of antibiotics)

  • Q-tips

  • Nail clippers/nail files (piggy nails need to be trimmed every 4-6 weeks. Baby nails can be filed to remove the sharp tip)

  • Qwik Stop

  • Sterile saline

  • Terramycin ointment for eyes (hay pokes)

  • Chlorhexidine or betadine for soaking bumblefoot or cleaning bite wounds (always use diluted and rinse well)

  • Epsom salt (unscented)

  • Coconut oil (for dry feet and ears or dirty grease glands)

  • Unflavored Pedialyte

  • Gorgeous Guineas shampoos and skin/coat products (safest for the rarely needed bath and special needs skin issues)

TIP: Weigh your guinea pigs weekly. Look out for sudden changes in the weights more than two ounces/100 grams or so!!
